If you are ever visiting Yellowstone National Park you will likely see the Grand Prismatic Spring. It must be one of the easiest things to get a good picture of. God created the amazing artwork and you just have to take a picture of it.

The Unravelling
Bad Baby! As much as this shot looks staged, I swear it wasn’t. I came around the corner to this very scene. I couldn’t have planned the lighting better had I tried. I just had time to grab my camera, take the picture and then it was over.
After the Fire
After spending a few days at Yellowstone National Park the kids were getting geysered (sp?) out so I set off on a whirlwind tour of the Norris Geyser Basin by myself. On my hike to the basin I passed through this area burnt by the fire. It was quite eerie walking through it but the sky was incredibly blue which made it a great day for pictures.
Great Fountain Geyser
If you have ever been to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (and a little bit in Montana) I’m sure you have seen Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic Spring. Hidden off on a side road is a geyser called the Great Fountain Geyser. It only erupts about every 12 hours and it is not very punctual. It could erupt between say noon and 3 o’clock so many people just drive right on by. My family and I decided to wait for it because we were told that it is spectacular. After about 2 hours of waiting it finally started to erupt and we were not disappointed. This is the eruption in early stages against a stormy sky.
Larsen’s Pharmacy
If you are ever driving down highway 3 in southern BC make sure to plan to stop in Greenwood. It’s not a very big town but it has some neat old buildings, a coffee shop and of course the bright red fire station. This is a shot of an old pharmacy sign that I loved the vintage look of.
Embarrassment
On my daughter’s 12th birthday we took her and a few friends to the Chickadee Ridge Miniature Horse Farm. It is a “Field of Dreams” where “every young girls’ dreams can come true”. It was a great day and we saw almost a creepy number of miniature horses in one place. It’s funny how no matter what the animal, if you put them in a big pile or a large group they turn into a creepy mass of creatures. One bat is o.k. but 1000 bats gets gross. Guinea pigs are cute, but a pile of guinea pigs is weird. Thousands of locusts in a swarm are far more imposing than a single cricket. Anyways I think you get my point.
This picture is a cute one of a mini foal that got his head caught in the fence while scratching his neck. For those of you horse lovers out there, he did manage to get his head out.
Surfboard and Hibiscus
I couldn’t have matched the color any better if I would have picked the surfboard and the flowers myself. This is just a scene I came across while in Hawaii with my family in 2007.
Sailboat and Liftspan
I love the blues in this picture. Take notice of the snow on the hills in the background.
Mini on a Cobblestone Street
I am in the process of scanning some of my old photos from days gone by… Here is one of a mini on a cool cobblestone street. I can’t actually remember where I took this one.
Five Boats – Salamanca, Spain
I took this shot while I was in Salamanca, Spain way back in 1991. It was early spring so the boats hadn’t been cleaned out yet for the summer tourists to use.
