If you have never visited a “Government Wharf” I would highly recommend it. I am not sure if they exist anywhere else but I do know there are 4 of them on Saltspring Island. Every one that I visited had something unique and interesting. There is a sign at each of the wharfs giving the fees to moor overnight at the wharf and for this size rowboat (I’d estimate around 6 feet) it would cost $6.00 (including taxes). I’d say that’s a pretty good deal but I don’t know if I would want to spend the night in such a craft.
