I grew up in Central and Southern Alberta so most contact that I had with horses had to do with bucking broncos and barrel racing (watching not participating). In Kelowna I live near to a few grass turf farms and on one of them they play polo on while waiting for it to grow. It’s more exciting than simply watching it grow. One day when they were playing a match we stopped in to see what it was all about and these are a couple of shots. If you ever get a chance to watch polo, make sure you do it.

Margaret Falls
If you ever go camping at Herald Provincial Park near Salmon Arm, BC, make sure you make the short hike up to Margaret Falls. The hike itself is cool because it is through a rain forest microcosm in a narrow canyon in a region of the province that is quite dry. You get the the end of the canyon and there is this great falls that is quite hard to get a good picture of because of its size relative to how far back you can get. I could just barely fit the falls in my frame with my widest angle lens.
Strut
Just a peacock showing off as usual. Human males are far more sophisticated…
Parker Ranch
Parker Ranch is one of the largest cattle ranches in the United States. This is surprising since it is on the island of Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This is a shot across a small section of the ranch looking down towards the water although you cannot see the water due to haze.
Boylan Vintage Soda
This one makes me thirsty.
