Porsche 356 Roadster
Porsches over the years have managed to keep a certain style with their 356 and 911 models while still being able to update their cars to a more modern look. A lot of it I think has to do with the headlights. If you look closely along the lens you can see evidence of fowl play.
Metropolitan
This is a cool car that I have seen driving around town. I finally caught it parked in a spot not too bad for a photo.
I like this one in both color and black and white. If you’re interested, I think it’s a 1957 Nash Metropolitan. I like the crop tight on this because it accentuates how crowded it must feel like to drive in one.
Follow the Leader
In 2006 my family and I went to Hawaii. We stayed a couple of days at Waikiki beach and this was the scene the first night we were there. It seems a bit strange that all of the boats seem to be in a line right along the horizon but it makes for an interesting photograph.
P51-B Mustang
This shot was taken of the Mustang as it passed over the crowd at the Abbotsford Airshow in 2009. Apparently you can tell the difference between the P51-B version and the others because of the small canopy that does not allow much visibility to the rear. I’ll just have to trust the airshow commentators on that one.
Rise of the Machine
I had to get out of the house this morning due to a “Ladies Christmas Coffee” going on so I grabbed my camera and headed out. This is not what I was planning on taking a picture of. When I am driving and I see light like this I just have to stop. I’m sure the driver of the equipment was wondering what the heck I was doing.
Rad
This is the front end of a 1936 (or so) Yellowstone White Model 706 tour bus that has been restored to tour people around the park. The grill and bumper has a cartoon-like appearance and seems to be smiling (to me anyways).
Punch Bug Green (no return)
I have seen this Beetle around town a few times and have wanted to take a picture of it. One day by the beach I got my chance and while I was taking my picture the owner came by with a big smile on his face obviously proud of his vehicle.
I must admit that I changed the color of the car slightly to a green that I like more.
1964 Shelby Cobra
I am not a really big car buff, but this one catches anyone’s eye. I am not sure if this is a real one or one of the replicas that are available. I am also not sure that it is a 1964 but I did some googling and I think I am right. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Regardless, this is a sweet ride.
Pampas Grass
My family and I used to live in Mukilteo, Washington. It is a beautiful small town next to Everett. This shot was taken from Mukilteo Drive with the sun setting behind the Olympic mountains to the west.
Mini on a Cobblestone Street
I am in the process of scanning some of my old photos from days gone by… Here is one of a mini on a cool cobblestone street. I can’t actually remember where I took this one.
