Waterslide
My wife came across this waterslide in the middle of Montana that isn’t very close to any cities. I took this shot looking up into the sun so that it filtered through the semi-transparent slide.
Surfboard and Hibiscus
I couldn’t have matched the color any better if I would have picked the surfboard and the flowers myself. This is just a scene I came across while in Hawaii with my family in 2007.
Irrigation
I drove by this turf farm for weeks thinking “one of these days I need to stop and get a shot of the sun setting behind the sprinklers.” I finally stopped on this one particular evening and I am very happy with the result.
John Deere – Shadow of the Steering Wheel
It was a little precarious standing on the fender of this antique John Deere tractor at the Log Barn near Enderby but there’s just something I like about shadows and vivid colors so I took the chance. What a risk taker you’re probably thinking.
Fisherman in the Off Season
Not much to say here. I think the picture says a lot.
It was taken in a small fishing village on the island of Lipari off the northern coast of Sicily.
Windy Day in the Okanagan
This photograph was taken on a very windy spring day from Waterfront Park in Kelowna on Okanagan Lake. I had to use neutral density filters to allow for a long enough exposure to catch the trees looking windblown. I love the rich colors.
Hunter Ring
My daughter is really into horses. This is a shot from a spring horse show which I love because of the muted colors of the background with the bright green fence in the foreground (and of course because it’s my daughter).
