Larsen’s Pharmacy
If you are ever driving down highway 3 in southern BC make sure to plan to stop in Greenwood. It’s not a very big town but it has some neat old buildings, a coffee shop and of course the bright red fire station. This is a shot of an old pharmacy sign that I loved the vintage look of.
Mini on a Cobblestone Street
I am in the process of scanning some of my old photos from days gone by… Here is one of a mini on a cool cobblestone street. I can’t actually remember where I took this one.

Mail Slot
This is an old photograph taken in Bordeaux, France in 1991. Being from western Canada, where no buildings are more than about 50 years old, the old buildings and doors of Europe are of great interest to photograph. This one was extra special because of the junk mail stuffed into the slot.
Sacre Coeur
This is a photo I took a very long time ago when the medium of choice was film. Thankfully there are scanners to allow these old film shots to be transferred to digital format. I like the monochromatic color scheme of this one and the way the horizon fades to white. If you look very closely you can just make out the Eiffel Tower on the horizon.
Montgomery Park Atrium – Portland Oregon
I was down to Portland, Oregon for a class a couple of years ago that took place in the old Montgomery Park building near the downtown. During my lunch hours I spent a fair bit of time taking pictures around the building. This one is from the atrium looking up towards the south tower through the rain drenched windows. It seems like a really depressing picture but I really like it.
Mukilteo Lighthouse and Ferry
We used to live in Mukilteo, Washington back in 1999. A couple of years ago we went back to visit and this is a shot I took of the beautiful lighthouse at Mukilteo State Park just as the fog was lifting from the area which made for some great lighting.
